Description

A flavorful and zesty Dill Pickle Hot Sauce that combines the tang of dill pickles with the heat of jalapeños, perfect for adding a spicy kick to your dishes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup dill pickles, chopped
  • 1/4 cup pickle juice (from the jar)
  • 23 jalapeño peppers, chopped (adjust for desired heat)
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (or 1 tsp dried dill)
  • 1 tsp sugar (optional, to balance acidity)
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a blender or food processor, combine the chopped pickles, pickle juice, jalapeños, garlic, vinegar, dill, sugar, onion powder, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth, adjusting the consistency with additional pickle juice or water if needed.
  2. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning. Add more jalapeño for heat, sugar for sweetness, or salt for balance. If you prefer a chunkier texture, pulse the ingredients instead of fully blending.
  3. Transfer the hot sauce to a clean glass jar or bottle. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before using to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  • Adjust the jalapeño quantity based on your heat preference.
