
Add chicken to a large sealable container with avocado oil, kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and dried mustard. Toss to coat and refrigerate to marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Toss marinated chicken thighs with 1/4 cup BBQ sauce and arrange on the baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes, flip, brush with reserved BBQ sauce, and bake for another 10 minutes.
Increase oven heat to broil, flip the chicken again, and brush with BBQ sauce. Broil for 5-6 minutes until crispy and cooked through.
Serve with extra BBQ sauce if desired.
