Method
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, crushed crackers, egg, Worcestershire sauce, milk, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper. Mix until smooth without overmixing.
- Press meat mixture into a disk and divide into 6 uniform patties for grilling or 12 thinner patties.
- Shape the patties larger than the buns and dent the middle to prevent puffing.
- Preheat grill or skillet to medium heat (350-400°F).
- Grill or fry thick patties for 3-4 minutes per side. For thin patties, cook for 2 minutes per side.
- Serve patties on hamburger buns with desired toppings.
Notes
Overmixing the meat can lead to dense patties. Adjust cooking time for thickness of patties.
