Method
- Whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a medium bowl. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until creamy. Add the egg, vanilla, and almond extract and mix until combined.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix on low speed until combined.
- Divide the dough, roll out, and refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare baking sheets.
- Bake cookies for 11-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Prepare royal icing and decorate the cookies as desired.
