The BEST Chocolate Chip Cookies

Here's a tried and true chocolate chip cookie recipe that will impress everyone!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Cold Butter (cut into cubes)
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 2 3/4 cups Flour (may use all-purpose or a mix of cake flour and all-purpose flour)
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 3/4 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 to 2 1/2 cups Chocolate Chips (semi-sweet or mix of milk and semi-sweet)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar for 4 minutes until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing for 1 minute longer.
  3. Stir in flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Chill dough for 24 hours if possible, or proceed to scoop onto baking sheets.
  5. Bake for 8-11 minutes until edges turn light golden. Let set for 5 minutes before removing.

Notes

For best results, chill the dough before baking.
