Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (3–5 minutes).
  3. Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and dust with powdered sugar.

Notes

Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days or freeze for up to three months.
